Privacy Policy

TaylahMade Co. · Fairfax, Virginia · Last updated October 7, 2026

This policy explains what information TaylahMade Co. collects when you visit this site, book an appointment, inquire about an event or buy a piece, how that information is used, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

TaylahMade Co. is a permanent jewelry, charm bar and hand engraving studio based in Fairfax, Virginia, serving Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland. For any question about this policy or your information, email shoptaylahmade@gmail.com or call 571-601-0424.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to answer you, serve you and get paid.

  • What you give us. Your name, email address, phone number and anything you type into a form on this site — your event date, guest count, venue, company name and any notes. If you send us a logo or artwork for engraving, we receive that file too.
  • Purchase and booking details. What you bought or booked, when, and the amount. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor and never reach us or this website.
  • Health information you choose to share. Before a weld we ask about pacemakers, implanted medical devices, metal sensitivities and pregnancy. We use this only to decide whether the service is safe for you, and we do not store it beyond your appointment.
  • Automatically collected data. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay and the site or search that sent you here.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Guests under 18 need a parent or guardian present for permanent jewelry, and the consent we record belongs to the adult.

How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry, quote your event, confirm your appointment and send reminders.
  • To fulfill orders, produce engraving and ship pieces where shipping applies.
  • To take payment, issue invoices and keep the records our accountant and the Commonwealth of Virginia require.
  • To send marketing email — but only if you checked the sign-up box or asked us to add you. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and using it removes you immediately.
  • To understand which pages people actually read, so the site gets better.
  • To protect the site from spam and fraudulent submissions.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.

The services that handle your data

Running a small business means relying on a handful of established companies. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy.

  • Squarespace hosts this website, stores form submissions and sends our email campaigns.
  • Square processes in-person payments and invoices. Square receives your card details directly; we see only the last four digits and the amount.
  • Google provides the analytics that tell us how the site is used, the reCAPTCHA that keeps spam off our forms, and the Drive spreadsheet where event inquiries are logged. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google to tell humans from bots.
  • Instagram supplies the photo feed on this site. Viewing it may let Meta see that you visited the page.

Cookies

This site uses cookies: small files your browser stores. Some are necessary — they keep your cart working and remember your cookie choice. Others are analytics cookies that count visits and show us which pages people read.

You can decline the non-essential ones in the banner when you first arrive, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Declining them does not break the site.

Photography and media

We photograph and film our work — pieces, hands, wrists and event setups — for this site and social media. We will never post a photo in which your face is identifiable without asking you first. If you would rather we did not photograph your piece at all, say so; it is never a problem and you do not need a reason.

If a photo of you is already published and you want it taken down, email us and we will remove it.

How long we keep things

Inquiry and booking records are kept for three years so we can honor warranties, re-weld a chain we originally fitted and answer questions about past events. Transaction records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Health disclosures are not retained after your appointment.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can email us and ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop receiving marketing. We will respond within 30 days and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Virginia residents have these rights in law under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, including the right to a copy of your data and the right to appeal if we refuse a request. If we deny your request you may appeal by replying to our decision, and if the appeal is denied you may contact the Virginia Attorney General.

We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Payment card data never touches our systems. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — so please do not send sensitive documents, identification numbers or card details by email.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the business changes. The version posted here, with the date at the top, is the one that applies. Material changes will be reflected in an updated date.

Questions, or want your data removed?Email shoptaylahmade@gmail.com or text 571-601-0424 and tell us what you would like us to do. A real person reads every message.
